Night Beats / TRMRS - SPLIT (Mayo 2012)

¡TRANSLATION IN THE COMMENTS SECTION !

  1. Recently came to our hands this SPLIT, co-edited by VOLCOM Ent. Vinyl Club and Resurrection Records, with Night Beats on one side, whom we already knew quite well, and TRMRS on the other, of whom we had not heard about ever, and it was a blast, the perfect material to begin to know these two huge bands.
Night Beats, who late last year visited us, in a memorable performance, include a new tune here, in fact, the last we have heard from this Seattle guys up to this date.
First that comes to mind is that they’re direct descendants of Black Lips, with whom they are touring USA at the moment. You could also think of The Growlers.
Truth is that the Beats have increasingly deepened into the psychedelic tones of garage, getting a heavier sound of their own, and this "Messiah" is the perfect example: solid, strong, with a slow and twisted rhythm, and a melody that invites you to lay down on the bed, close your eyes and crawl into the darkest side of your mind for three and a half minutes
TRMRS complete one of the cleverest splits we've seen, when speaking about the matching of both sides.
This Californians surprised us from the very beginning, one of these findings that makes you go to sleep with a big smile on your face.
"Good Time Blues" starts following the previous psychedelic line, a bit blues, with a claustrophobic mid-tempo that speeds up halfway through the song, becoming a kind of garage à la Dead Ghosts, with huge surf guitars, reverb and delays all over.
Fuckin’ hell, who can’t imagine himself with a beer in one of their gigs?
Hope it doesn't take too long for us.
